THE ROLE OF THE COACH AS A PEDAGOGICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL FACTOR IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG ATHLETES
Keywords:
coach, young athletes, pedagogy, psychology, motivation, personality developmentAbstract
The coach plays a significant role in the development of young athletes, not only as an expert in sports training but also as an important pedagogical and psychological factor. Through educational work, the coach influences the development of discipline, responsibility, self-confidence, and social skills among young athletes. The coach's approach, communication, and relationship with athletes have a strong impact on their motivation, emotional stability, and the formation of positive life values. The pedagogical role of the coach is reflected in the transfer of knowledge, the development of moral qualities, and the creation of a supportive environment for learning and development, while the psychological role includes providing support, strengthening self-confidence, and helping athletes cope with stress and competitive pressure. A competent coach contributes not only to the physical preparedness of the individual but also to the overall personality development of young athletes and their successful integration into both sports and society
